First, please select which type of closer arm your door has. Pay special attention to the placement of the box and the angle of the closer arms.

Parallel Door Closer

  • One closer arm is parallel to the door.
  • The closer box is connected to the door.
Top Jamb

"Top Jamb" Door Closer

  • Closer arms stick out perpendicular to the door.
  • Closer box is mounted ABOVE the door.
  • Door opens outward.
Top Jamb

"Regular" Door Closer

  • Closer arms stick out perpendicular to the door.
  • Closer box is mounted to the door, BELOW the arms.
  • Door opens inward.
